I notice that I am confused.

13/9 is a clear error here, and yet a better play in the gammonu-online match when white splits 41 after we have made our 3 point. I would have thought, if anything, having an inner board point would argue *for* the loose hit.

Is this all about the difference between having three vs. two spares on the 6 point, or is there some other explanation?
