Gridgammon to XG

Today I had a defective .txt file saved by GridGammon. A 15-point match file had a couple dozen of my opponent's moves "missing"...scattered across several games from our match. In each case, the rolls were correctly recorded, but no moves were recorded in the *.txt file. Upon opening the file in XG, the program displays "cannot move" at every such point...but that was clearly not the case; legal moves were possible, and were made on GridGammon. Most of the time some impossible positions quickly resulted in the XG continuations, and XG's match analysis went off the rails at several points.
I was able to reconstruct the match (and create a correct copy of the file) while it was still fresh in my memory, but I hope this doesn't happen again.
Have any others experienced this?
