Good question. One could assume that Europe and US tournaments are roughly equal, but that is merely an assumption. A bigger factor in my ranking (similar to ABT) is that attendance helps. If you attend four tournaments and cash in all four, you're probably a better player than someone who attended a dozen tournaments and cashed in four. But tally-wise that won't be the case. (I do assign points exponentially by finish -- i.e. winning pays twice runnerup, but the above simple illustration makes my point.)

But to answer your specific example, we all know the Big 10 is stronger than the Big 12. :)
