Blue is Player 1XGID=--b-CBCBD----A-a--bbbbbb--:0:0:1:00:0:0:3:0:10 Reach this position in nine rolls (with a condition)
This puzzle has been and continues to be inspired by the return of Tim Chow (even if only temporarily) to bgonline. I modified the position he posted here, by moving Blue's 24pt checker to the 8pt, and announced it here as a puzzle (that was part 1, as I am now revealing). The object was to get from the opening position to the diagrammed position legally in nine rolls.
Evidently, Stick is the only one who solved the puzzle. Here is his solution:
......31S-66B-11e.-55T-66D-44P-44J-22A.-63P
Part 2 of the puzzle is the same as part 1, but with a condition added: Each time Blue moves a checker off the 24pt, it must play the entire roll by itself. For example, if Blue rolls 22 and chooses to move a 24pt checker, he is only allowed to play 24/16 (not 24/20(2), nor 24/22 24/18, nor 24/18 13/11, etc.).
Here again is the objective: To get from the opening position to the diagrammed position legally in nine rolls (five for one player and four for the other), with the 24pt-checker condition added.
Good luck!
