Fixing match outcomes is inherently illegal in US tournaments. There was a match fixing in LV a few years back which led to serious penalties for the fixers. There are occasionally exceptions when made with director's consent but NEVER when anyone but the two combatants have official interest (e.g. sidepool interest or calcutta interest).
