Why should player 4 get anything? Do you perhaps mean the player who got 4th place?

Yes.

If so why should he get as much as the player who won the consolation?

If there were a consolation, you'd have to take some money from the main prize pool to use for the consolation prize.

2nd place main and winning the consolation normally get the same amount so why should player 2 get more than player 3?

The amount you win depends both on how well you did in the tournament and how much you paid to enter. This would also apply the the consolation.
