This is more accurately stated as "Hundreds of clubs have lost their venue due to insufficient purchase of food and drink."

Make sure to tip well also since if you play in a bar/restaurant, you're taking up space and keeping the server at least somewhat busy for several hours at least. If you keep the server happy, they can often keep mgmt. happy, but if the server complains to mgmt. the club often doesn't remain very long at that venue.
