The first thing I check is not wins or gammons, but immediate blotting rolls. If I don't have any immediate blotting rolls then it's a no-brainer: Just play on. You're not going to regain your market in the next exchange if you have no blotting rolls. Wins and gammons are irrelevant for the cube decision in this case.
Here, you do blot with 66 65 55 but that's all. In theory you should now do some sort of calculation, but in practice I wouldn't bother because I know that four blotting rolls with such a big race lead is not going to be anywhere near a cash.
What I'd recommend doing is playing around a little with the position to vary the number of blotting rolls and the race differential to get a feeling for when the play-on decision is close. Getting that feeling is important, both because it will save you lots of time when the decision is not close (which is probably most of the time) and because it will alert you to when you might actually need to do some calculation. Only at that point would I start to worry about memorizing reference positions and calculating wins and gammons.
