Capital Classic (kudos to KD)

Ditto the traveling delay... Howard and I arrived on a flight from Vegas that was over half way there when were diverted due to a sick passenger on our flight. The end result was a 6.5 hour flight rather than a 4 hour one.
Fortunately the lack of rest on the red eye was compensated handsomely by the dice gods, who were favorable all weekend.
I would say that Barry is a most impressive TD, though it is clearly a pain in the ass to explain those brackets over and over again. Perhaps you should try a single elimination format in DC? On the other hand, this was the second time recently that I lost in the undefeated final match, (which would be the finals of a single elimination format), and went on to win the tournament. All things considered, I would recommend strongly trying to win the undefeated finalist determining match!
Possibly the most valuable staff member that Barry had was not an official one. Karen Davis was there once again to save the day. Not only does KD show up and play all events at ABT tournaments, she steps up and provides for them. Something that Perry Gartner never did, I might add.
KD provided all the trophies. I think Ed O, takes advantage of that, because he doesn't like trophies himself doesn't mean the players don't! lol. Ed's wife throws em out! He has too many, but most people treasure a memento from a prestigious tournament like the Capital Classic. At another tournament I attended last year KD provided trophies and snacks! She obviously recognizes that TDs need a little help, and she provides it.
KD is also an exceptional player now! My nearly perfect weekend began with her and more than once I was resigned to defeat... Finally I hit my absolute last ditch shot... and was able to bring the match home 13-12. KD launched me into the stratosphere and she was the first to congratulate me. Meanwhile she toiled tirelessly in the USBGF booth. I know this is no news to anyone, but I wanted to add my praise.
