Simple match. A 4-0 lead in a 6 pt match makes you an 80% fav. So the value of the game when cube is on 4 in MWC terms is 80%-20% = 60%

The added value of the gammon is 100% (match is over) -80% which is 20%.

20/60 equals 1/3.

So the G cost is 1/3 rather than the money value of 1/2.

This is one of the reasons why this position is a take, and probably not even a proper recube.
