Generalizing John's 31 Position

Thanks, John, for posting an interesting position. Let's freeze 29 of the 30 checkers on the board and vary the location of White's outfield blot. Then let's determine two positions, one pip apart, in which Blue should make different plays. As White's blot advances, Blue has more incentive to hit. Where is the break-even point between hit and no hit?
