Quoting Ted Chee, who runs the Backgammon by the Bay club here in the San Francisco Bay Area, “It is seldom easy!”
If we move up to the 14pt, then, except for 61, the Dillies would have any roll totaling 7 or more to hit or run by us. That is 19 rolls. On the other hand, if we stay put, then the Dillies could hit with 14 numbers, and run by us with another roll (44), making a total of 15. So we should stay back.
Having decided that, I do not particularly want to make the 1pt, but I like the alternative, 13/1 8/4, a little less.
P (Point) = 13/1, 5/1
