Yes, but you also said that you couldn't think of a reason not to make the right play. Even if I let you get away with letting "the right play" be synonymous with "the play I think XG would make," it's still not synonymous with either "the play I would make against XG" or "the play I would make against a human."

FWIW, I would also play 23(2) against anyone.
