The B variant of BluffGammon is actually being played in an annual tournament held in the town Bodø in Norway. During the Bodø city championship, the unofficial world championship of BluffGammon has been held as a side event for more than a decade.

I haven't been there to witness it live, but from my understanding the bluff element brings a lot of new skill to the game.
