In Response To: When to pull goalie in hockey? (Bob Koca)

I wish I could give you links to comments I have heard in the past, given by pro goalies. Unfortunately, i'm relying on vague memories, and my impressions of what was said, and not remembering specific comments.

My take on the issue is that it varies from goalie to goalie. I'm speculating, but having just given up two goals in two minutes... going from a one goal lead to trailing by a goal, would certainly leave me feeling quite responsible for putting my team in a bad situation, where i the goalie. And then being yanked early, seeing my coaches desparation attempt to salvage the game...it would certainly give me lots to think about during the 3 days leading up to the next game. Does my coach want me to start overthinking, overanayzing and perhaps over compensating in the next game. Will Ben Bishop be doing that or will he shake it off, and be dominant on Saturday? The only way to find out is to watch the game. :) I'm sure it will be a good one.
