Pointless ELO question

Perhaps the intended question was to ask if the number of points per game or points per match approaches zero. Under the usual model, the answer to that question is yes.

However, in real life, the answer might be no. If you have a population of many players that all play each other, then player A might have the same (or even lower) Elo rating compared to player B, but player A might consistently beat B.
