There are several obvious candidates but none that would seem to provoke a remark like this. Could it possibly make sense to break our board? I'm not seeing it. The candidates I see are bar/22 3/1 and bar/20. Staying back looks like it gives us more shots (there are several rolls where White is forced to hit us) but increases the backgammon risk slightly. I would try it anyway. Bar/22 3/1.
