Greatest Loser Prop

It's true that there are a lot of peripheral factors. However, my calc was under the assumption that the alternative reward was a bye into the next week. It wasn't even close to that.

In order for the spite factor to enter in, the player would have to be one of the two (out of six) lowest losers for the week. Otherwise s/he automatically moves on. I suppose you could argue that they would hold a grudge even into future weeks' voting....

The main point is that no one on the show (of the clips they showed, anyway) even mentioned a risk/reward analysis. All they did was say "well, in some past weeks that pound would have really been big...") Selective memory, in other words.
