Also note that after 6/4(2),6/2 your spares are distributed over 3 points -as opposed to 2 points after your play- which makes it more likely that you can point on ace, pushing White forward and thereby reducing the risks associated with the deep gap.

I don't know which play is right, I am merely pointing out a detail in favour of clearing from the rear.

I am curious to see how ripping 3 stacks up against the other plays. This play obviously wins many more Gs and in terms of immediate safety it's not terrible. However long term risks are a lot higher after this play and I find it impossible to figure out if there are enough Gs to balance out the extra losses.

I might clear from the rear myself but can be talked into any of the alternatives in a chou.
