This looks interesting. Three plays to consider:
6/1, 5/2 -- This is the standard play in these late game mutual holding positions. However their two homeboard blots indicate we may want to go non-standard.
18/13, 18/15 -- This looks pretty because of the duplication of 1's and 3's (hitting vs. covering). The downside besides hit+cover is that this play gives them more chances to race now, with a small-moderate pipcount lead.
18/10 -- {65,61} are their best rolls while {63,66,33} make a 5-point board giving us one direct shot. {22,64,62} hit and lift one (still a shot for us) while {44,55} just race. With their remaining 21 rolls they either give us 17 shots at a blot on their midpoint, a double shot, or stay put with both on the midpoint.
By running we give ourselves decent chances in the race plus some chances with contact. The rote play further hurts both. Don't know if it's right but often the non-standard play just jumps out at you. This one does to me.
18/10
