AMD or INTEL?

Just curious what made you decide AMD over INTEL.

A couple competing prices at ZipZoomfly:

Intel Q6700 (2.66 GHz Quad Core) -- $277.80

AMD 9850 (2.5 GHz Quad Core) -- $235.00

Is the 9300 different than the 9850?

Are you trying to hold total cost to $600 or is your wife giving you her rebate for this project, too? :)
