Do intermediate players make conservative plays?

I don't have any data to back this up, and it's going to vary from player to player. But being an intermediate player myself, and going off of my own play, I think that intermediate players tend to make more bold plays. I feel novice and very low intermediate players look to make the safe plays.

One reason is, knowing that you're an intermediate player, you're usually thinking that the safe play is probably not the correct play. I often find myself looking for bolder plays when the safe one is not a completely obvious play. Also, when intermediates are playing open level players, they may feel like making totally safe plays makes them look like a donk, any will tend toward bolder plays.

Obviously this does not fit all players though.
