First issue: stopping at stopsigns. If I read you correctly, one stop (no matter how deep in the line you are?) is enough. Certainly not what I was taught in drivers ed, although actually I don't ever remember reading a traffic law of any kind, so I don't know exactly what the law is.

Second (new) issue: the problem with (your wish for higher) speed limits isn't that new cars are safer, but that new drivers aren't. (And I think that is what Bill said.)
