Agree on the editing (but that is common). I think we all have to realize that if a book today costs $16 then someone cut some corners. I also noticed that the greyscale spots on the cards indicate that the originals were in color. So they cheaped out again. (See above.)

Yes, in the intro chapter Gus used an exclamation point about every other sentence but after that there were very few.

Gus forces players out so often I wonder if they are intimidated by specifically him or if that were work if, say, I was the one playing his cards. (I think I know that answer to that.) Of course he has earned his rep, so I don't begrudge him the edge he gets from chumps.

I find him honest. When he screws up (and he does screw up), he admits it. One hand he even misread his suits and was going to muck a flush! He's human, b'gosh.

I'm now about 30% through the book. Very informative. I feel like I'm learning quite a bit.
