On the whole, if you want to tangle with him your best move would be the *all-in* to keep from making mistakes later in the hand.

That pragmatic advice reminds me of Barclay Cooke's advice to 'neophytes' at BG: since you can't play at their level by using your head, don't use it. OK, I'm way overstating this, but basically there is something awkward to thinking that you yourself suck. To me it runs counter to the visualization principle -- visualize what you want your outcome to be. It's hard to visualize yourself a winner if you start by saying "OK, since I'm such a loser..."
