When you guys are working for minimum wage you are sure to get paid? You work 10 hours you get paid for 10 hours. In this experiment you work for 10 hours maybe you're down $3,000. Still sound so good to you? There is no guarantee in the immediate future that you've made a dime. As Tim said, I could play for 6 months/1,000 hours and still not be ahead. This isn't play 1 match, get $60.

To be able to do this you need to already have the bankroll to do it. That's fine and I do but the point is there are so many better spots (more profitable, less work, more of a sure thing) if I just want to make money.

Professional blackjack players get by on much smaller edges than 6%

This to me seems very out of context and doesn't apply. As an edge play your typical advantage will fall between 1-2% of what you bet.
