To avoid the possibility of one player using his economic might over the other, each player sits at the table with an amount at risk, say $200.

They start each game placing $1, $5, $10 whatever, in the pot. Play stops if a player exhausts his amount at risk, $200 in this hypothetical.

Of course, they can also agree to play with no-limit at stake.
