Tips needed for transcribing quickly to XG please

1. I would suggest positioning the video and XG in the same window
2. Get a media player that has easy to use keyboard shortcuts, like VLC. For example, you can start and stop the video using the space bar, you can jump the video ahead using shift + right arrow (left arrow for back), and you can speed up or slow down the video using the +/- sign in the number pad
3. When you get started, you should probably have the video running at normal speed. That gets old fast, so when you get comfortable speed it up a bit and remember to slow it down for bearoffs
4. If you make an error in the previous move, hit T then enter to go back 1 decision
5. As long as you are in transcription mode, don't pick up the dice, just type the next roll
6. If you realize that you screwed up the cube many moves ago and think that you can remember the way that the game was played, go back to that move and hit ctrl+p or go to the action "play from position" menu item. Select "at cube decision" and "use same dice sequence". You can then repeat what you have transcribed without inputting dice
7. You can edit matches in text form if you missed a cube or something else and are many decisions later in the match
There are probably many more, but I can't think of them. Feel free to email me with any questions.
