Why I voted to Accept the proposed USBGF rules

Please explain what you mean by Open and Advanced playing under different rules. The only difference I recall is what the default preference for clocks is.

Legal Moves and clocks are already variable. Currently, there are at least three distinct sets of rules in use in the ABT. If this vote fails, I expect that number will go up. Having everyone start from a common set is bound to reduce the variability.
