Whither Luck Ratings?

Maybe to be even clearer -- I'm not saying the Luck Rating should be torn our of the XG software -- I'm not saying it has no analytic usefulness in our understanding of backgammon. I'm questioning whether we're interested in hearing the Luck Rating for individual match play in tournaments -- whether that's a worthwhile metric to be reporting on and drawing attention to in celebrating tournament results.
