In Response To: Guess the Genius Cube Action - The Haps (Stick)

I was wondering what is the standard, or at least considered best, chouette rule regarding individual cube management by the box.

In Milan we have been playing for at least 10 years with the rule that the box has to manage all received cubes per turn in the same way (pass/take/beaver all of them) and has to double all players at the same time (with a distinction between cubes in the middle from those already owned).

What do people usually do worldwide? What do you think is preferable?
