Do players generally play a lower PR ("better") online or live?

I'm a seasoned gambler, not a degen or addicted gambler. Just very experienced and I don't get nervous, steam or tilt. Not bragging, took me years to develop that temperament & I still work on it and always will.
I have been playing pool for $ since 85, and it's impossible for me to play "social" pool any longer because it's became ingrained in me-if it's worth doing its worth doing for $.
BG I don't have all those years of experience and the burnout factor isn't there yet. However i can feel it creeping in and soon that same feeling I have for pool will apply to BG.
To answer the OP directly I firmly believe that I play better for $ than for free, and for that matter playing for $10/pt I get lazy(I know that's a horrible excuse, but it's the truth). If i'm playing for $100-$500/pt I count everything to the best of my ability and focus much more. Look at the position and key features of the position and put much more effort into my decisions. For $10/pt i'm on auto pilot which isn't a good thing.
I think the difference in my PR is less than 2 in any case. I don't have data on this but no matter the effort i don't think i can play 2 PR lower no matter what i do differently.
