I think this is the right way to prove it, too many answers focus on the different score issue. Let's take a 7 point match, out of 4 games who takes wins once 2 point and 3 times loses 2 points. So on average the chances are (3*37% + 63%)/4 = 43,5% In case of drop the chances are 44% so is better to pass. The difference in every MET between MWC in going down 2 -0 and 1-0 is always at least double so is universal valid.
