YI Camera Fail

So, here's the instructions I got from YI support when I asked about the iPhone App crashing. I get a feeling this isn't even designed to address the app crashing problem, since the app crashed before you can even attempt connecting it to a phone.

I don't think I'll be trying to decipher this . . . ------------------

With respect to the issue regarding the YI camera, we will be happy to assist you.

First, Delete and reinstall your YI app with the latest version. - Reset your dash camera by going into the camera's settings then initiate "factory data reset" (Click the down arrow in the menu a couple times to find this option). After reinstalling your YI home app and factory resetting your camera - configure your dash cam as normal. Before configuring please turn on the camera with a power source. 5. Format your SD card to the FAT 32 file format (Note: make sure to transfer and save your files before doing so, since this will erase all the previous data) - Instructions here: https://www.wikihow.com/Format-an-SD-Card

Additional note: please make sure the camera is turned off when inserting the SD card to avoid corruption.

6. Re-insert SD card while the camera is off.

7. After reinstalling the app, formatting your SD card, resetting your camera and re-inserting your SD card while the camera is off, configure your action camera as usual.
