The only reason Julius' error would have a larger effect is because his match was to a shorter match length, a blowout, and therefore far fewer decisions to offset such a blunder.

Wouldn't this only be true with regard to the PR rating *for that match*? My impression was that BMAB ratings pool all the 1000's of decisions into one big "session" set and perform the calculation as though it's all one big match --- surely they don't just average the PR's of all the matches, regardless of length or decision counts? Or am I wrong about this?
