You guys know about motivation

It's the players who are pushing for clock usage. If the TD's (as a whole) really wanted it we'd have it by now. I don't remember how long we've been talking about this (I could look through my newsletter archives) but I recall an article by Nack Ballard and then one shortly later by Jake Jacobs which chronicled his experience at one of the Michigan Summer Champ events. I've written about it, too, both in the newsletters and online. It always gets support (though that could be minority) when presented here and on GU.

We've made proposal after proposal ("Bring Your Own Clocks, etc.) but what has happened? I think Gregg used clocks in his Ty but now even that event is apparently history. The number of "clocks allowed" events is paltry. Again there have been a few Masters events (Grand Crystal Beaver at Midwest) but we're all going to be in our graves (even the youngster Stick) before all rounds of Open events are clocked unless WE take the initiative, and I think it's going to require some influx of $.

Europe is way ahead of us on this front for many reasons. We can make excuses or we can make it happen.
