Where These Ideas Might Lead

The seed, random numbers, or whatever else is needed can be selected by a function of some publicly available numeric data, such as the DJIA close for the week.
This would be the key input so it must be:
A) random, including large enough that all possible draws are equally likely,
B) verifiable,
C) non-repeatable. (What I mean here is that it should be such a clear defined process that you can't, for example, toss the ping pong ball back in the pool and draw another if you don't like the result.)
All this extra effort is created to try and convince the paranoids that cheating isn't occurring. There is a bit of irony here. Those paranoids are going to think up some scenario how they were cheated no matter what you do. Thus the actual process should ALSO be: easy, short, and sweet.
If it ain't easy, it ain't ever gonna happen. Just look at the current clock situation if you don't believe me.
