Neil replies: Yes indeed and this is often an issue. One thing I'd do if I were you is to start doing the Intermediate draw as soon as the Intermediates (2nd division whatever you call it) part of the auction was completed. There's certain enough staff to do that part of the draw while the Open players are being auctioned off. Also speeding up the auction a bit would be nice. The auction is fun for lots of players and the auctioneer as well, but could be a bit faster so as not to hold up play.
Neil continues: Also please make sure that the ABT event has priority when there are conflicts. Also, players shouldn't be clueless as to when there's likely scheduling conflicts or their side of the bracket is lagging. That means don't wander off when the match your waiting on is near DMP. This also means that if you have an earlyish plane to catch, let Elayne and the staff know and perhaps something can be done if there's a conflict. With that in mind, if you're from out of town and still alive in events on Sunday let the director know if you are staying the night if there's pending conflicts. But, players really should try hard to not book early flights home.
.. neilkaz ..again mentioning that a progress last chance will minimize conflicts on Sunday, I think.
