Clocks and time controls

Bronstein Clocks WILL NOT alone keep a tournament on schedule. Those who think they will are sadly mistaken. I also don't recommend the use of "real-time" clocks where there is no "reserve time", 12 seconds in the ABT Clock Rules, because this will inevitably end in too many matches either ended by the clock or by some sort of director decision as to the winner of the match.
It's an important job of the TD to make sure that matches are starting in a timely manner at the proper time, and TDs have the option of using Penalty Points to deduct for players not being available in the main tournament. The main tournament should absolutely have priority over all other matches.
I would also like to see the TDs pay closer attention to what players have entered side-events, ie. quickies and blitzes. I personally have been guilty of entering once too often, and then delaying one of the side events because I had to play a match in the other event.
