Clocks

Just to make clear a term which can (and often is, for good reason) misinterpreted, in the ABT rules, "clocks allowed" means that if EITHER player decides that his/her match should be clocked, the match is clocked. So if one player doesn't want the match to be clocked but the other does, the tiebreaker goes to the player who wants the match clocked.

I don't know what the other situation is termed: i.e. if both players must agree to play a clock match before it can be instituted.

But I do know what "clocks required" means -- it doesn't matter what the individual players want, clocks will be used. This is the direction some of us want Backgammon to go, and soon.
