...In this easy position 3 blue spares on the 6 point more or (less) balance White's acepoint and 10 point checkers.
Not sure I underestand this. Three on the 6-point is 18 pips. Two on the acepoint and one on the 10-point is 12 pips. If those totals were within one or two, OK, but six? Or do you simply mean "it's gotta be close enough that the positions aren't enough different to mean a double?"
