I appreciate your kind remarks, perhaps I've misjudged you in the past -- it is one of the hazards of typed conversation.

I'm afraid I cannot be as magnanimous as you: "While I disagree with many of your remarks, I appreciate that you care about our country, and I thank you for that."

I cannot convince myself that is true of many, if not most, Obama supporters nor, certainly of Obama himself.
