In Response To: Clock Petition (Bill Riles)

Correcting for Ray's tongue-in-cheek wording (in this case "tongue-out" may be more appropriate interpretation :) I don't see the petition as threatening. He's asking the ABT directors to consider the idea of "clocks mandatory". One advantage of a petition is that it adds some weight against (or for) the contention that only a few vociferous players are in favor of clock usage.

I also don't see a conflict if a forum and a petition were implemented simultaneously.

IMO, for this to have any value it should contain only genuine signatures. People could snail mail in facsimiles with signatures if they couldn't make it to LV or LA.
