Clock Petition

I don't know how the issue of "clocks mandatory" will be received by ABT Tournament Directors, due to the potential for added expense of purchasing clocks and worry about losing players. However, I do hope some sort of guideline for TDs could come out of these discussions regarding when you should start to clock matches in order to keep a tournament running smoothly and on-time. I personally feel that a well-run, timely tournament that keeps to the published schedule as well as possible is attractive to all players.

I support the use of clocks and would like to see them instituted at some level in future tournaments, whether for all Open Main tournament matches, or special events such as SuperJackpots and Doubles matches or whatever.
