In Response To: Ten Things I Hate About the BG Experience (Barry Silliman)

Assigning a single number (e.g. 80%) to luck or skill is insufficient and inaccurate. I believe Robertie pointed this out several years ago.

What can be done is to make a chart that shows P(w) for varied rating differences, using an ELO (e.g. "FIBS") formula. These are easy to generate.

Probably better would be a table of P(w) vs. (SW) skill rating differences. I don't know how hard this would be but I think it would take quite a bit of effort. Maybe someone here has tried that?
