Since there are no official witnesses present at every match in a tournament, playing "only legal moves" can not be enforced. (Clearly different in a chouette, where more than one player can help insure legal plays.) Therefore as a TD, I cannot accept that as a version of what happened in a controversy.
As for the Scoreboard: again, since it only shows a "static" picture of the most likely score and DOES NOT show us how the players got to that score, it would not be considered as support for a controversy about the score. It is an excellent means of checking with one's opponent as to the score after each game. But please do keep a running score sheet to protect yourself, should a dispute arise.
