Cube was centered. White went from no double to Too Good with a huge joker, and blue was fortunate to hit the late shot and close the board on the same roll. But it probably doesn't matter, centered or on blue's side.

I did find some stuff on Hansen's 5-4-3 rule on bkgm.com, and Robertie's rule of 5 is the basis for his discussion in chapter 24 of 501 problems.
