I am so turned off about these thefts lately ... I never had a nice backgammon board. I had been thinking for a while about buying it in the near future. When I see these thefts going on ... I tell myself why should I buy a nice backgammon board knowing that there is good chance it will be stolen ???? It is not worth the stress making sure it is not stolen all the time ... I wish I never bought video cam even though it is very cheap at around $250+ .. You cannot put the value on matches taped. The point is I am too freaked out about this theft issue that I had to keep put my video cam into my pocket whenever I am away from the table to make sure it will never be stolen !!

It would be too much trouble and stressful to make sure nice backgammon board not be stolen all the time. I guess I will never ever buy a nice backgammon board.

I feel strongly that the directors need to get back together and talk about this theft issue. It might turn some players off to the point that they dont come back as often or not buying nice backgammon boards ? It is no fun anymore that we have to look out for our things at all times. I don't need this bull. !!!!

One of the solutions I can think of ... It might be a good idea to have players bring their things with their name tags on to Director area ... putting then at back wall away from Director tables (off limit to players and staff) with video being pointed at this storage area ... players can be allowed to pick up their things only with director/or assistants to verify its his/hers. Of course, there must be at least one person (assistant/director) being stationed at Director tables at all times .. It should prevent most of the thefts .. that would make players feel comfortable and able to do something like watching other matches or go to restroom, etc without worrying too much about it. Any comments ? Any ideas ?
