I think it's safe to say any relationship that exists cannot be globally linear. (And if you pick a small enough region, it will be effectively linear.)

Rather than a sharp curve I'm pretty sure there is a fuzzy band. The reason is that not all error rates are the same. I.e. two players with an error rate X do not play the same. Even when they play each other I wouldn't think the expectation is 50% wins for each.

Can anyone think of a way to build this curve? Bot vs. bot?? I know UBK has fiddled with bot strength deterioration. That is a start but probably not sufficient.
