Cube error rates

the error rate is the error rate. what you are probably refering to is better named an error cost rate. if you miss 3 doubles and finally get a take, the er is based upon missed (potential) market losers, but the actual cost of those errors becomes 0 since your opponent now has a 2 cube (or higher) and likely a substantially worse position. but, having missed 3 cubes and your double is passed makes those missed errors actually costly. or the instance where the game turns around after your missed doubles and you get cubed, how does that "error" get computed? a negative cost rate?
